What I mean by that Flash sucks is that when you run an SEO campaign, flash content has no value. When creating dynamic content for your website, the two most likely formats that you’d create it with are either Flash or HTML5. But SEO experts love HTML5 because the bots can crawl it. The main difference between the two is that if you use Flash, it is more like a solid block of content inserted into a page, more like an image in that way, and HTML5 is built in a similar language to that you build a website with and is more of a part of a page.

It is quite clear which of the two to use if you are creating a website and have an Internet marketing campaign planned. But as it stands, out of the two, Flash is used much more than HTML5, and nearly 90% of the most visited websites have Flash content. But HTML5 stands to take over, getting support from a vast number of technology giants, such as Google and Apple.

Today, Adobe, the creators of Flash,  announced Adobe Edge, the animation tool that creates crawlable content. At the moment, it has only just been previewed and isn’t ready for widespread use yet. But in the long run, I wouldn’t be surprised if they killed Flash with it completely.
