Bulk Image edit This is another great tool to help improve your sites SEO. Alt tags for images are important as Google cannot simply look at a picture and know what it is, you need to explain - like it's visually impaired. Alt tags help Google crawl and rank your site and also help the visually impaired understand an image when scrolling through your site. If you do not add alt tags to images when you upload them you can have a very tedious task on your hands. Shopify does not make it easy to edit images so you would need to go into every individual image and edit the alt tag. Shopify Ping This one isn't actually a Shopify app but rather an app for your phone. If you are always on the move but want to make sure you answer customer questions this app is perfect. If you ask any digital marketing agency they will tell you how important customer relationships are when it comes to online reputation and ultimately sales - so this is definitely worth the download! It is compatible with Shopify Chat, Apple Business Chat and Messenger, however, we recommend Shopify Chat, which is a chatbot that sits in the corner of your site. Have a go
Quick Announcement Bar Banners are useful things on any website, e-commerce or not and with the current worldwide situation these are quite handy! This app allows you to add a banner to your site, this could be something like a discount code or a change in delivery times. You can also make your bar clickable and choose which pages you would like it to feature on. We like this one as it does the job but also has the option to spend some money if you would like to unlock full customisation, but we found for a simple banner the free version does the job. Shopify Email This is app that has recently been made free by Shopify (for the first 2,500 emails) and really does bring it closer to an all-in-one platform. Shopify fell out with Mailchimp last year and no longer list in on their app store, however, there are other options like Seguno Marketing but we think Shopify email is the one. You don't need to be a designer with Shopify Email as they provide ready-made templates that automatically pull your logo, product images, descriptions, prices, and URLs directly from your store - saving you a lot of time!
