Google Ad Extensions are a recent addition to Google Adwords, enabling you to provide a more comprehensive and targeted offering on your Adwords. Ad extensions effectively map locations, product search results, or any other Google-controlled widget that you can present in conjunction with your paid advertising. I believe this is a great step in improving Google Adwords PPC and fundamentally increasing your CPAs through your website by offering very targeted products or key information that engages someone into clicking on your site. Adwords can directly synchronise with your merchant account and enable you to present so much more than the previous text-only options. Although this is an innovative step, Google has a long way to go with the ad extensions. At present, you are not able to nominate specific widgets to Adwords and instead rely on Google to interpret your ads correctly; there is very little control over what you can choose. It's advisable to test Ad Extensions out with new campaigns and slowly phase them in to not hurt existing successful Ad campaigns. All in all, a positive step Google has again made.
