LinkedIn is indisputably the biggest and most influential social network for professionals. You may have a personal account on there already for your own networking. If not, don’t worry, you can read all about that in our next blog! This blog will tell you how to set up a LinkedIn business page, also called a LinkedIn company page, and will briefly discuss why you should use LinkedIn for business. Creating LinkedIn Company Pages All you need to set up a company account is a company name and email. There are two ways of doing this. You can do it as you enter your job title and details into your LinkedIn, since the site will ask for category details and the website in order to create a page. However if you would like to focus on the page a bit more, you can set it up like this:
Hover over the Interests optionClick companiesClick Create a Company Page (Or click Learn More, if you’re so inclined)Now’s when you enter your company name and email address. This is to ensure that only you or employees can control the page. Your new page includes a cover photo, company updates, links to products and services, links to careers, and a description of the company. It is essential that you fill as much out as you can. Use keywords in your description. Why should you do all this? LinkedIn informs us that it currently has more than 347 million members in over 200 countries and territories, and that new professionals are signing up to join LinkedIn at a rate of more than two new members per second. Clearly, this gives you an incredible wide potential audience to promote your products and services to. You can also advertise jobs and headhunt on LinkedIn, and use it as a social media engagement platform just like Facebook. LinkedIn for business is about making connections, generating leads, establishing partnerships and creating better brand awareness. Hard selling of the type you can do on Facebook is very much frowned upon. How to set up a business page on LinkedIn is part 1 of our new How To series. This series will consist of short, visual guides on exactly how to set up and use various social media accounts as a business. The next part will tell you how to set up a personal LinkedIn account, and why doing so can benefit you and your business. Error: Contact form not found.Post navigation
