Most online marketing campaigns could benefit from a company YouTube account and semi-frequent video series. Videos are a fairly cheap way of strengthening a company’s SMO and SEO strategies. Putting a face on company information is a great way to personalise a brand and offers the opportunity to engage with the public through an extremely popular social channel. Videos should be more than just advertisements; like traditional SEO, they will aid the overall marketing campaign by providing consistently relevant, quality content that potential customers will find useful. If users put their impressions into practice, public opinion will be gauged through 'likes', which presumably affect search rankings. Put simply, video rankings are not too different from other forms of SEO; ranking is judged primarily on relevance and popularity; popularity seems to be calculated through views, ratings, and links. In terms of relevance, videos can be optimised through keywords and appropriate tagging. When it comes to the title of each video, it is wise to use the relevant keyword more than once, if appropriate. Users can also apply general tags as indicators of content. Usually, applicable videos can be immediately anchored through posting them in response to other videos that are relevant to your service, but only if they are relevant, as responding with irrelevant content may be judged a spamming tactic and flagged or rated as such by users. Video descriptions offer a great opportunity to link back to your website, as well as a further opportunity to attach appropriate keywords to your content. The more people that view the video, the higher the chance that you will achieve an elevated CTR. When videos become popular, they are often displayed in Google’s default text search. While this may not be a website ranking, it is still drawing attention to your brand. Everyone who views the video will contribute to its YouTube ranking, which should secure greater exposure and lead to a higher level of relevant and interested traffic finding your website.
